BRANSON, Mo. (AP) — A magazine's readers have named Branson as the best small city for a weekend getaway.

"Best of the Midwest" picked Branson for the honor in its July-Augsust 2010 issue. The Springfield News-Leader reports that the magazine posted nominees in an earlier issue and then let readers vote.

Branson was selected by readers because of its variety of attractions.
